Christina David - Violin and Viola teacher Christina David began her violin studies at the age of five through the Suzuki method, and began playing viola during college. In high school, she performed at Carnegie Hall as part of the Houston Youth Symphony. Following high school, she received a full scholarship to Houston Baptist University, where she earned a Bachelor of Music Degree with honors, and later earned a Master of Liberal Arts degree. Her college achievements included an "Outstanding String Player" award her senior year. During her undergraduate years, she had the privilege of studying under violinist Rodica Weber Gonzalez.

Christina has been teaching and performing for over ten years, and has registered approximately 100 hours of pedagogy and early childhood training with the Suzuki Association of the Americas. In her Suzuki training, she has studied with a phenomenal list of teacher trainers from all over the U.S. and Canada, including: Andrea Cannon, Peggy Ann Crow, Judy Offman, Cathy Lee, Beth Titterington, Dorothy Jones, and Sharon Jones. In addition to teaching private lessons, Christina offers early childhood music classes for children ages 0-4, and prenatal music classes for expectant mothers.

As a musician, Christina performs in a variety of styles for churches, various venues, weddings, and also for studio recording sessions (see discography). She made her solo album debut in December of 2010 with "CrickettSongs". Christina has been published in the American Suzuki Journal, and has appeared annually on television in the PBS special "Downe in Yon Forrest" for the past three years.
